The aim of the gay and lesbian community in upholding their rights as individuals is truly impressive. It is not easy to be ostracized in our society but standing up for one’s self amidst all these is even more difficult. It is like finding your way home in the middle of a storm and once you get home the feeling of victory is satisfying knowing that you have worked hard to attain what you have achieved. The dilemma faced by the gay and lesbian community is not an easy task to overcome. I believe, people should be more understanding and supportive of these endeavors.
